Tables and sections
Add your tables and sections, import them from a photo or PDF, and choose which sections guests can pick when they book online.
Owner and managerThe Tables page holds capacities and sections. Table positions on the floor are not set here, they live in the POS floor plan. You do not have to add tables to take bookings: with no tables, bookings are paced by covers per time slot. Add tables when you want table-aware availability and table assignment. Owners and managers can edit. Hosts can see the list but not change it.
Add a table
- Go to Tables.
- Choose "Add table".
- Enter the "Table name" and the "Seats" (1 to 50, or leave it blank for no cap), and pick its "Section".
- Save.
Add or rename a section
Choose "Add section" on the Tables page and give it a name, for example Indoor, Patio or Bar. To change a name, use "Rename section".
Remove a table
Choose "Remove table". The table is hidden from the book and from table assignment, and its booking history is kept. You can add it back later.
Import from a photo or PDF
If you see "Import from photo or PDF" on the Tables page, you can upload a floor plan (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or PDF, up to 10 MB). The app proposes a list of tables. Review it, then add. Tables that already exist are skipped. This button is for owners and managers, and only appears when the feature is available on your account.
Let guests choose a section online
- Go to Settings, then Booking policy.
- In the "Sections guests can choose" card, set "Section booking" to Off, "Optional" (the diner may pick) or Required.
- For each section, turn "Bookable" on or off. You can also set its Max covers per slot and a "Note for diners" (up to 500 characters).
- A section can have its own card requirement: "No card required", "Card hold (no-show fee)" or Deposit, with a per-guest amount.
- Choose Save changes.
- Each section row can also set whether guests choose an Experience and how many menus per party. See "Experiences".
- Auto-combine is a seating aid for staff. When on, the book can combine free tables in that section for a larger party. It does not change what guests see online. If there are no free tables to combine for that time, the booking cannot be forced through with an override.
