Table combinations
Tell the book which tables can be pushed together for a larger party, and how many seats the joined tables hold.
Owner and managerA combination is a set of tables you are happy to join for a bigger party, for example two four-tops. Once defined, the book can suggest it when no single table fits, and staff can pick it when seating a booking or converting a waitlist entry.
Add a combination
- Go to Tables.
- Choose "Add combination".
- Optionally give it a "Combination name", up to 60 characters.
- Pick the "Member tables". A combination needs 2 to 8 tables.
- Optionally set "Combined capacity override" (1 to 500). Without it, the capacity is the total of the member tables.
- Leave Active switched on, then save.
Edit or delete one
- Use "Edit combination" to change members, the name, the capacity override or to switch it off.
- Use "Delete combination?" to remove it. Existing bookings that used it are not affected.
Note: Combinations appear in the Table list on the booking form under "Combinations". The separate "Auto-combine" option for a section is a different feature: it lets the book pick free tables for you.
