Experiences
Offer set menus, tasting menus or special packages that guests pick when they book, with their own dates, party sizes and card rules.
Owner and managerAn experience is something guests choose while booking, such as "Omakase counter" or "Valentine's set menu". You set it up in Settings, Booking policy, in the "Experiences" card. Only owners and managers can change it.
Add an experience
- Go to Settings, then Booking policy.
- In the "Experiences" card, choose "Add experience".
- Enter the "Name" (up to 100 characters). The "Booking link name" is filled in for you. It is the short word in the deep link.
- Add a "Description" (up to 500 characters).
- Set "Valid days", and optionally a "Date window (optional)", "Party size limits (optional)" and "Area (optional)".
- Optionally set "Code request (optional)": one shared code (up to 40 characters, using letters, numbers, - and _). Anyone with the code can book it, there is no usage limit, and staff never need to enter it.
- Choose the "Card requirement" and, if it takes a card, the amount per guest.
- Save.
Choice settings
- "Experience choice when booking" is venue-wide: Off, Optional or Required. The default is Optional.
- "Menus per party" decides whether the whole party shares one experience, or each guest picks their own.
- A section can override both. See "Tables and sections".
Share a direct link
Each experience has a deep link on your booking page that adds ?offer=<booking link name> to the address. If it has a code, add &code=<CODE> as well, and the guest does not need to type it.
Edit or switch one off
Use Edit on the experience. The "Active - diners can book this experience" checkbox appears when editing. There is no delete: untick Active to stop guests booking it. Existing bookings keep it.
Careful: The card shows a warning if your settings would leave guests with nothing they can book, for example Required choice with no active experience. Fix it before guests hit a dead end.
