The features that matter

The expensive stuff, included.

These are the features that usually sit behind a sales call and a four-figure annual contract. Here they're just switched on.

Card holds & deposits, without the upsell

Require a card hold or a per-guest deposit for big parties, peak nights, or events. It connects to your own Stripe account — money goes straight to you, and we take no cut.

On other platforms this is the feature you upgrade for. Here it's in the free plan, because no-shows hurt small rooms most.

Know your regulars like a good host does

Every booking builds a guest record — visits, no-shows, allergies, seating preferences, notes. It spans all your outlets, so a regular at one room is a regular at both.

Your guest list is yours: export it anytime.

Reminders guests actually answer

Confirmation and reminder emails go out automatically — guests confirm or cancel with one click, and the book updates itself. WhatsApp reminders, where Singapore diners actually live, are next on the roadmap.

A cancelled table goes back into availability immediately, or straight to your waitlist.

Bookings straight from Google

Coming soon

Reserve with Google will put a booking button on your Search and Maps listings — where most diners find you first. Those bookings will land in the same book, paced by the same rules. It's next on the roadmap.

Plus your own diner booking page and an embeddable widget for your website and Instagram bio.

Howard Lo, founder of Nice Work and owner of Standing Sushi Bar and Tanuki Raw
Why is it free?

No catch. Just a restaurant owner giving back.

I own Standing Sushi Bar, Tanuki Raw, and Shinsora in Singapore. For years I paid enterprise prices for reservation software — and paid extra again for basics like deposits and card holds. So we built our own, ran it on our own floors every night, and decided the reservation book should be free for every restaurant.

How do we afford it? We also make a POS. If you love the free reservations and one day want the rest, that's our business. If you never do, the reservations stay free anyway.

FAQ

Fair questions.

What's the catch?

There isn't one. The founder owns restaurants and wanted this piece of critical software to be free for the community. We make money on our separate, paid POS — reservations doesn't subsidise itself with your data or your guests.

Do you take a cut of deposits or no-show fees?

No. Payments run through your own Stripe account and go straight to you. Standard Stripe processing fees apply — those are Stripe's, not ours.

Will features move behind a paywall later?

No. Our rule is written into the product: the free plan must be able to run a venue's entire booking operation, forever. No caps on covers or bookings, ever.

Who owns my guest data?

You do. Your guest list and booking history are exportable anytime, and we never market to your guests.

Who's behind this?

Nice Work — the software arm of the Singapore restaurant group behind Standing Sushi Bar, Tanuki Raw, and Shinsora. The platform runs our own rooms every night before it runs yours.

When you're ready, the same platform runs your POS.

Same login, same floor plan, same guests — and the two talk to each other. Every bill enriches the guest profile: what they spent, how often they visit, what they order, their favourite table. The POS is paid — a fraction of what the big systems charge — and reservations stay free either way.
